Executive Team Building

Internal Management Roundtables

Some business situations call for using an outside facilitator to help executives and their teams be most effective. The number of meetings may vary from two to three times of one year or over several years.  As the team evolves in its effectiveness, so too will other teams in the organization.

Executive Management Roundtables Can Serve Multiple Purposes:
  • Identify and develop buy-in on the most important company goals—for example each 6-12 month period can have one urgent company goal that all departments are working on—this creates company unity and gets the urgent things done and minimizes silos
  • Increase the capacity and effectiveness of The Senior Management Team
  • Develop stronger relationships within the Team
  • Improve the flow of information across departments critical to making optimum decisions and making cross functional business processes more effective
  • Enhance the cross functional understanding of each manager
  • Provide valuable feedback to each member on making their departments more effective
  • Understand and manage a corporate “system of accountability” where everyone knows the numbers and what moves them—this group can become a cornerstone of your company’s accountability system
  • Foster the leadership development of each team member
  • Create leadership standards in order to develop leadership bench strength throughout the organization critical for future growth
  • Inculcating the Company X Brand Promise throughout the company
  • Create a forum for critical strategic thinking regarding the direction of the company
  • Set Priorities, Focus, and Deliverables (executing)
  • Increase the company profitability
  • Any corporate objectives deemed necessary to drive the company to the next level
3 Example Roundtable Options–Each has its benefits.

Meetings will be held off-site so that each participant knows they are supposed to “work on the business”, not “in the business” for these sessions.

For Each Option New Perspectives Will:
  • Survey members in advance of each meeting so that managers can provide input into the content of the Roundtable (click here to view examples of questions)
  • Summarize manager input and distribute to each manager before the Roundtable
